Anger Management Toronto was established with the aim of increasing the ability of professionals from both the private and public sectors of Toronto to develop skills in the area of Anger Management. We have 20 years of experience in providing Anger Management workshops. We expanded our offerings 5 years ago, to include: Train the Trainer for agency front line staff; and we began offering specialized workshops for Corporate employees.
We began as part of The John Howard Society of Toronto’s Anger Management Program and from there we developed into a separate Social Enterprise, with the primary objective of providing exceptional training in the area of Anger Management, to professionals in the Greater Toronto Area.
Our Anger Management Professional Training Series is designed to assist professionals to develop skills, both for client interventions and interpersonal use in the workplace.
The Social Enterprise model for providing this service benefits not only the agencies and businesses receiving this training but the John Howard Society of Toronto benefits by being able to offer more Anger Management programs to its clients through the generation of revenue from this Social Enterprise.
The workshops that we offer are designed to support front line workers, practitioners, managers, employers and organizations, to implement and build on their capacity to deliver high quality Anger Management programs for adults and/or learn to integrate Anger Management skills into the workplace.
Anger Management 1 -Understanding Anger :
This workshop is designed to assist Professionals to understand the extent and expression of anger, the specific problems resulting from anger, the function anger serves, and the underlying sources of anger.
Anger Management 2: Effective Intervention Skills :
In this workshop we take what we learned in Anger Management 1: Understanding Anger, and build on our understanding of the expression, function, source, and resulting problems of anger. The goal of this workshop is to provide Professionals with the tools to effectively deal with angry clients and/or coworkers.
Work/Life Balance
Many people are experiencing burnout due to overwork and increased stress. It is the goal of this workshop to provide staff ways to: prioritize personal and professional duties, identify burnout, create boundaries, reduce stress, and practice self-care.
